Summary
There were fewer Salmonellae confirmed in February 2007, n = 132, compared with February 2006, n = 158.The number of S.Typhi isolates cotinues to be high with 11 being confirmed this month compared with 1 in February 2006. The three cases from Wellington have been linked to meals imported from Samoa. Six of the Auckland cases report travel to Samoa.
