Summary
There
were 123 isolates confirmed in April compared with 119 in April 2007.Salmonella Mbandaka isolates recorded this month as Outbreak related, are those confirmed as such by EpiSurv.
The Salmonella Typhi isolate was cultured from a routine blood sample taken from a patient treated for Gallstones. The patient has no relevant history of illness or travel other than travel to Tokelau in 1999, and is considered to be a carrier.
