Human Salmonella Isolates, 2008 No. 11, November

Summary
The number of isolates, 110, was similar to November 2007, n = 113. There was an outbreak of S. Typhimurium phage type 42 resulting in high numbers of this particular serotype (30% in November 2008, 0.9% in November 2007). MLVA typing was performed on 22 of these isolates and indicated that there was a cluster of 19 that had an identical MLVA profile.Note: Click on the document links below to open.
