Summary
The number of isolates (n=51) showed a decrease in comparison with June 2011 (n = 74). Salmonella Typhimurium phage type 12a and RDNC-May06 were the predominant serotypes. Uncommon Salmonella serotypes confirmed this month included: S. Arechavaleta (8 human isolates confirmed since 1988), S. Taksony (6 human isolates confirmed since 1988) and S.
