Summary
Confirmed cases of Salmonellosis is lower in 2003, (n = 117) compared with 130 in September 2002 although S Typhimurium phage type 160 shows a 6% increase. The seasonal increase of isolates of S. Brandenburg in South Canterbury, Otago and Southland is noted.
