Human Salmonella Isolates, 2003 No. 10, October

Total isolates for the month are again lower than in 2002 (155 isolates) although the proportion of isolates of S. Typhimurium phage type 160 has increased from 27% in 2002 to 32% in 2003.
 
Isolates of S Typhimurium phage type 1 also have increased proportionally since September 5% to 7% in October.
