Human Salmonella isolates, 2016 No.12, December
The number of isolates (n=49) confirmed this month showed a slight decrease in comparison to the number of isolates confirmed in December 2015 (n=72). Salmonella Typhimurium phage type 56 variant and Brandenburg (8.3% and 4.1% in December 2015 vs 8.2% in December 2016) were the most common serotypes confirmed this month.
