Non-Human Salmonella Isolates, 2006 Apr-Jun

Summary
There were 289 isolates confirmed in 2006 compared with 297 in 2005.S. Hindmarsh was the predominant serotype isolated from sheep, representing 58% of total animal isolates compared with 59% in 2005.
The predominant serotype from poultry industry sources was S. Typhimurium phage type 101, as it was in 2005, representing 34% of poultry isolates.
