Summary
As from January 2012, the non-human Salmonella serotypes will be published on a monthly basis, replacing the quarterly reports from previous years. The Enteric Reference Laboratory confirmed 100 non-human Salmonella isolates in January 2012. After further investigation of multiple isolates of Salmonella Enteritidis phage type 9a, we have come to the conclusion that some of the phage types that were previously called 9a will now be called phage type 11. Salmonella Luckenwalde was confirmed for the first time in New Zealand. Note: Click on the document links below to open. These documents are in PDF format.
