Non-Human Salmonella Isolates, 2012 No. 4, April

Summary
As from January 2012, the non-human Salmonella serotypes has been published on a monthly basis, replacing the quarterly reports from previous years. The Enteric Reference Laboratory confirmed 66 non-human Salmonella isolates in April 2012.
Salmonella Enteritidis phage type 9a/11:
Further typing was performed on isolates previously confirmed as Salmonella Enteritidis phage type 9a. The typing results revealed that isolates previously reported as S. Enteritidis phage type 9a were in fact phage type 11.
