Summary
The Enteric Reference Laboratory confirmed 79 non-human Salmonella isolates in May 2013 compared with 73 in May 2012. An outbreak of Salmonella Hindmarsh in sheep was reported in Southland (http://www.3news.co.nz/Salmonella-outbreak-kills-hundreds-of-sheep/tabid/423/articleID/298018/Default.aspx).
