Summary
The Enteric Reference Laboratory confirmed 59 non-human Salmonella isolates in October 2013 compared with 80 in October 2012.
There was an increase in the number of poultry isolates (4 in 2012 versus 11 in 2013), a decrease in the number of bovine (43 in 2012 versus 34 in 2013) and food isolates (12 in 2012 versus 1 in 2013).
