Non-Human Salmonella Isolates, 2014 No. 3, March

Summary
The Enteric Reference Laboratory confirmed 38 non-human Salmonella isolates in March 2014 compared with 40 in 2013.
There was an increase in the number of ovine Salmonella Hindmarsh isolates (13 in 2014 vs. 6 in 2013) and in the number of bovine isolates (15 in 2014 vs. 8 in 2013).
There was a decrease in the number of Salmonella Infantis isolates (1 in 2014 vs. 6 in 2013) and in the number of poultry isolates (5 in 2014 vs. 8 in 2013).
