Summary
The Enteric Reference Laboratory confirmed 46 non-human Salmonella isolates in April 2014 compared with 53 in April 2013.
There was an increase in the number of ovine Salmonella Hindmarsh isolates (4 in 2013 vs. 16 in 2014).
There was a decrease in the number of bovine isolates (20 in 2013 vs. 7 in 2014), S. Infantis isolates (7 in 2013 vs. 0 in 2014) and S. Brandenburg isolates (5 in 2013 vs. 0 in 2014).
