Summary
The Enteric Reference Laboratory confirmed 38 non-human Salmonella isolates in January 2015 compared with 40 in January 2014.
There was a decrease in the number of ovine isolates confirmed this month, from 10 in January 2014 to 3 in January 2015.
There was an increase in the number of food isolates, 1 in 2014 vs. 12 in 2015, and avian isolates, 1 in 2014 vs. 8 in 2015, confirmed this month.
