Non-Human Salmonella Isolates, 2015 No. 4. April

Summary
The Enteric Reference Laboratory confirmed 30 non-human Salmonella isolates in April 2015 compared with 46 in April 2014.
There was an increase in the number of bovine Salmonella Hindmarsh isolates (7 in 2014 vs. 12 in 2015).
There was a decrease in the number of ovine isolates (17 in 2014 vs. 7 in 2015), in poultry environmental isolates (8 in 2014 vs. 2 in 2015) and in Salmonella Typhimurium phage type 101 isolates (10 in 2014 vs. 0 in 2015).
