Non-Human Salmonella Isolates, 2015 No. 8. August

Summary
The Enteric Reference Laboratory confirmed 105 non-human Salmonella isolates in August 2015 compared with 117 August 2014.
There was a decrease in the number of S. Brandenburg isolates (45 in 2014 versus 30 in 2015).
There was an increase in the number of bovine isolates, from 52 in 2014 to 71 in 2015. The increase was seen mainly in the following two serotypes i.e. S. Bovismorbificans and S. Typhimurium phage type 101.
