Non-Human Salmonella Isolates, 2017 No. 1. January
The Enteric Reference Laboratory confirmed 40 non-human Salmonella isolates in January 2017 compared with 33 in January 2016.
There was a decrease in the number of S. Typhimurium phage type 1 isolates (7 in 2016 vs. 1 in 2017) and in S. Typhimurium phage type 132 isolates (4 in 2016 vs. 0 in 2017).
There was an increase in the number of S. Bovismorbificans isolates (2 in 2016 vs. 7 in 2017), S. Infantis isolates (0 in 2016 vs. 5 in 2017) and in S. Derby isolates (0 in 2016 vs. 4 in 2017).
