ESR undertakes STI surveillance on behalf of the Ministry of Health. A number of different surveillance systems are currently in place including notifications, laboratory-based surveillance and clinic-based surveillance. These reports present data on chlamydia, gonorrhoea, genital herpes, genital warts, syphilis and non-specific urethritis (males only), chancroid, granuloma inguinale, and lymphogranuloma venereum cases reported for the quarter from sexual health and family planning clinics across New Zealand for the period 2003-2018. From 2019 quarterly syphilis, gonorrhoea and chlamydia reporting is in a dashboard format (see link below) and all other clinic data will be reported annually. https://www.esr.cri.nz/our-services/consultancy/public-health/sti/
