STI Lab Surveillance: Quarterly Reports Jan-Mar 2012

Thursday 20th June 2019

Summary

The tables below present District Health Board (DHB) and estimated national quarterly rates of chlamydia and gonorrhoea from diagnostic laboratories across New Zealand for the last five quarters.  More detailed DHB level reports are available by clicking on the DHB name in the tables below.

For a DHB to be included in the analysis, all laboratories servicing that DHB must have participated in the surveillance programme (unless the non-participating laboratory was a hospital laboratory undertaking a small proportion of the DHB’s STI testing). In addition, each laboratory in the DHB must have provided data for all three months of the last eight quarters.  The national rate is estimated using the DHBs meeting the above criteria.  DHBs currently not included in national analyses are Hutt Valley (chlamydia only), Capital & Coast (chlamydia only), Nelson Marlborough, Canterbury and South Canterbury DHBs.

For further details on methods used, limitations of the data and current participating laboratories refer to the latest Sexually Transmitted Infections in New Zealand Annual Surveillance Report.
